Hi! My name is Autumn Thornsberry // your comfort photographer. <3
I’ll more than likely cry at your wedding. I really love people. I’m an enneagram 2 and an ENFJ. I feel emotions deeply. I love 35mm film, hot tea, and going on walks. If I’m not taking photos then I’m probably at a coffee shop, a concert, traveling, crafting or hanging out with my fiancé + our three cats. <3
I documented my first session at 13 and shot my first wedding at 15. To be living out the biggest and scariest dream I’ve ever had has been one of the best decisions of my life. My life has absolutely changed from athornsphoto and I am beyond grateful to be doing this every single day. 2024 will be my eighth year full-time, with 500+ weddings and 1000+ portrait sessions captured so far. I am based in metro- Detroit but I go wherever my work will take me. :’)
I believe that my gift isn’t to just take photos — but to look for the light. I am an optimist and I find the beauty and magic in everything. I want my business to be a ministry for love. I wholeheartedly believe that each person that crosses my path is here for a reason. I want to provide a space for you to take up space. I want you to leave a session with me feeling celebrated, loved + empowered.
My sensitivity to the world is my approach. I am constantly feeling the energy + emotions of any space that I am in and with that, I frame it into art that you can hold onto forever.
I view my work as a collaboration between the way I see emotions and the way that you feel them; between my art and your favorite memories. If I had to choose a few words to describe my work, it would be; colorful, soft, dreamy, emotional, and film-inspired.
