Hi! My name is Autumn Thornsberry - a 24 year old, ENFJ, portrait photographer from metro-Detroit, Michigan!
I started photography in 2009 and shot my first wedding at 15. In 2017, I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Biology with my emphasis on Physiology from Northern Michigan University. After a few years of pursuing medical school I decided to open athornsphoto, LLC full time!
I love anything that involves fresh flowers, lights, water, or confetti. I’ll more than likely cry at your wedding. I really love people (Type 2 on the Enneagram, anybody else?). I’m constantly traveling from the city lights of Detroit to the northern lights of the Upper Peninsula. I run on espresso and I love the color blue. I have a Pinterest board full of DIY projects that I fail at miserably, if I’m not taking photos then I’m probably at a concert and I haven’t updated my letter board in over 8 months. I live in a condo with some of my bestfriends so really, my life has become an episode of friends.
Photography has always been my biggest dream but I never thought that it would be something that I could do as a career. To be living out the scariest dream I’ve ever had has become the best decision of my entire life. My life has absolutely changed in the last few years and I am beyond grateful to be doing this every single day. 2019 will be my third year officially full-time, with 150+ weddings and 500+ portrait sessions captured so far. I book primarily all over Michigan but I travel to wherever my work will take me.
I believe that my gift isn’t just to take photos but it is to see the best in everything and everybody- to have the eyes to find beauty in even the worst of times. I pray that my work reveals God’s glory in every detail. I want my ministry to be my business & I am so thankful to be able to capture the most important days of people's lives.
